Dear Golfview Families and Community, 

We are excited for the 2025-2026 school year to be another year of continued academic growth for our students.  As a Dual Language Academy, we will focus on developing our learners’ literacy abilities in both English and Spanish through the language areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.  Additionally, we will focus on growing students' math critical thinking skills and discourse practices.  We will continue to strive towards our vision to inspire a community of multicultural and biliterate learners who take risks as they grow towards independent lifelong learners.  

While academic growth is the ultimate goal, Golfview Elementary also focuses on developing and supporting students’ social and emotional needs. This focus supports students' readiness to learn. Students get to experience “specials” classes such as Physical Education, Music, Art, STEM, and Skills for Success in order to explore and develop other interests and talents.  All of our teachers regularly meet in collaborative teams to review and deepen their understanding of the standards, plan common assessments and review assessment data in order to make the timely instructional decisions in order to support student growth. Through the use of the Professional Learning Communities our teachers and staff can target support and enrichment opportunities for all students. 

Throughout this year students will work on identifying goals for themselves, setting action steps on how to meet those goals and monitor their progress towards their goals throughout the year.  Students will keep track of their goals in their data binders and begin to build their leadership skills as they take ownership of their learning through their own goals. 

Golfview is looking forward to deepening our partnership with our Golfview Elementary PTO.  We will collaborate on various events to not only support the students in school, but also provide family learning opportunities.  With the support of the PTO, we will also further develop volunteer opportunities throughout the school year.
